A wireless set installed, enabling passengers to listen to 1YA, an Auckland radio station, but after a number of complaints – it interfered with conversation – the set is removed. [From 1935, 1YA and 1ZB were broadcast from the Henderson radio masts beneath which Toroa is now being restored.]
